STANCE: Ralph Nader is for American Consumer protection from the Big businesses. He Has worked to help the Consumer gain more rights to achieve a better society. Nader has also worked to protect the enviroment, food and saftey laws, and to make vehicles more safer for the consumer. Nader ultimatley has worked to protect the consumers of America and take in their best intrests to reform America.
DRIVE: As a Child, Nader was brought up in a family that had daily seminar's on the duties of citzenship in a democracy. This instilled in Nader the Drive to to create justice in society. Growing Up Nader instilled these ideas into his ideas that the government protected the citizens of America not just as citizens bu also as consumers. He wanted to make sure the big powerful businesses in America took advantage of the middle class consumer. Nader over a span of 40 years has helped create numerous acts and administrations to help insure the rights of the American Consumer, such as the Occupational Saftey and Health Administration, Enviromental Protection Agency, and Consumer Product Saftey Administraiton. Ralph Nader is focused on empowering the Citizens to create a responsive government sensitive to their needs. Ralph Nader has worked to reach this goal by protecting the consumer and making the big businesses more consumer friendly, by reaching for every consumer need.
OCCUPATIONS: Lawyer, Attorney,consumer activist, Presidential Canidate. Nader Graduated from Woodrow Wilsonschool of international affairs at Princeton in 1955 and then later graduated from Harvard law school in 1958. He then set up a small laww practice and began his crusade in Consumer protection, writing his first book Unsafe At Any Speed to attack the Auto industry for being unsafe with Seatbelts and other car necessities. Nader continued by creating small organizations that became large such as EPA, OSHA, and CPSC. Ralph Nader has also been a Canidate for the Green party appearing in four presidential Elections during his Career. Nader has had much experience in consumer protection and has helped the consumer with the many organizations he has created to make society better for Americans.
FRIENDS: Rachel Carson could be a friend of Ralph Nader mostly because she worked with enviromental protection and to conserve energy and the use of pestisides, and Ralph Nader is associated with EPA and has worked to preserve the enviroment and make it better for society as well. The consumers of America would also be an ally of Ralph nader for he has done much over his 40 year to protect the consumer and make consumer products safe.
